Despite being damaged by the fire, earthquake, and lootings, this huge amphitheater is still standing high and surviving through the centuries. And still the most impressive site of the Roman era.

Colosseum is the oval amphitheater situated in the center of Rome city. It was used for the exhibition of exotic animals, prisoners’ executions, naval battle recreation, and gladiator fights to keep the Roman people entertained for centuries.

Originally it was named as Flavian Amphitheater later it changed into Colosseum due to the Statue of Nero that was located near the amphitheater entrance.

The emperor Titus inaugurated 100 days of brutal gladiator fights here, which took away more than 2000 gladiators’ lives. With the guide narration, your colosseum tour visit will be enriched with impressive historical explanations.

Breathtaking Colosseum

Breathtaking Colosseum tour reminds me of a stunning day, when I visited by booking an online ticket from Rome tour tickets. I was so excited when I entered the entrance of the glory empire’s palace. I felt something very different which showed me 3000 years of live streams of glorious Roman’s amphitheaters. Various portions of the colosseum means an enriched architecture that is really tough to think about. The panoramic view of the Palatine Hill still haunts my mind where Roman Forum and some other parts of the city can be seen. A must visiting place with friends and family.

Exploring the heart of Rome

Colosseum is called as the Rome city’s heart which is the most popular landmark and tourist attraction of all time. By grabbing this group tour I have learned a lot about the inner beauty of glorious Colosseum with occurred battles, politics and animal fights of several centuries old times. Our tour guide was so co-operative and expert in Rome’s fabolous monuments, not only Colosseums but also Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. These two places are the BONUS trip for me where Palatine Hill’s story connected to the birth of Rome city and Palatine Forum presenting Rome’s glorious history of a thousand years old residence.

Very impressive

Completely inspirational, a piece of architectural history. Walking the Colosseum was such a surreal adventure for me. It was unbelievable that people could build something like this so many years ago. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole tour.

Touch the stone, feel the excitement.

Me and my family had a great time in this unique spot on the earth. We just loved the history behind the amphitheater to find out about the historical backdrop of this eminent spot. It was supernatural and stunning. An unquestionable place to see while in Rome.

Experience of a glorious venue!

It’s really really surprising for me to think about Rome's signature structure Colosseum which still stands after thousands of years. As my guide said that it could hold an estimated number of 50,000 - 80,000 spectators at that time and people had a reason to gather as it offered entertainment activities such as gladiatorial contests, mock sea battles, animal hunts, executions, reenactments of famous battles, and dramas based on mythology. At the end of this tour, I really felt special and blessed experiencing this glorious venue!

Gladiators story in my imagination

In Rome, skipping the line ticket is the only option to save your time and I took this as an opportunity to enjoy the Colosseum to the fullest. Our guide was really the most important part of this tour who guided us and explained the history of gladiators where my imaginary stories aligned perfectly. This tour left me with courage like a gladiator had in that era.

The wonders of the world

I have visited the Colosseum with my husband as part of a group tour. In the beginning, I was a bit frightened to see the size of the crowds but my husband assured me that our tour included skipping the queue access so we don’t have to wait in this queue. Finally, we got the access without waiting in the line. After entering the colosseum I was just in awe to see the structure and the size of this amphitheater. What a magnificent masterpiece built almost two thousand years ago. Really, the colosseum is one of the most preserved archaeological sites in ancient Rome. We took the best snap in the palatine and forum area. I wouldn’t go there again with my whole family.

Buy one ticket and get three!!!

I booked this tour with my bestie. Throughout this walking guided tour I enjoyed mostly in the colosseum area. It was a lightly sunny day with a good atmosphere. The gladiator’s home, the Colosseum was really surprising to think about the architecture and science used at that time. Different parts of the colosseum area amazed me more while palatial hill talks about the ruins of roman’s big residence became favourite to my bestie. Besides, the Forum is another tourist attraction which shows the ruins of some of the most important buildings ancient Rome had. It was a breathtaking tour and one of the most enjoyable tours ever!

The arena floor functioned as the battle's "platform," where men and animals fought and were slaughtered for the enjoyment of Roman spectators. The Latin term for "sand" is the arena. It was composed of wood and coated in sand to soak up the blood of gladiators, animals, and criminals. Its oval form, 83 meters long and 48 meters wide, was designed to let the battle continue uninterrupted while providing spectators with the best view possible.

A tour of the Colosseum's arena floor provides a bird's eye view of the hypogeum, or underground.
